National Flood Insurance Program
The City of Phenix City participates in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) to reduce flood damage through community flood plain management ordinances, and to provide protection for property owners against potential losses through a federal insurance mechanism that requires a premium to be paid for the protection.
