Divisions of Phenix City Fire / Rescue
Phenix City Fire / Rescue contains four specialized areas:
Administrative
The Administrative Division of Phenix City Fire / Rescue contains the offices of the Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, and Office Manager.
Fire Marshal / Fire Prevention, Inspections & Investigations
The Phenix City Fire Marshal / Fire Prevention, Inspections, and Investigations is charged to help educate the public on fire safety therefore preventing deaths and injuries to the citizens. This is accomplished by educational classes in the schools, talking to civic organizations, special community events, public announcements, and demonstrations on various topics such as fire extinguishers and other extinguishing techniques.
Training
The Training Division initiates and supervises the job development of fire fighters commencing with the probationary period and continuing throughout their career.
Suppression
The Fire Suppression Division is the vanguard of the Phenix City Fire Rescue. They maintain a constant state of readiness to respond to a myriad of emergencies (fire fighting, medical, vehicle collisions and extrication, hazardous materials, etc.), which occur in and around the City of Phenix City.
