Duties & Responsibilities of the Records Unit

The records section is responsible for archiving and storing police records for the department and the public. The records section is the information link between the Police Department and outside agencies, as well as the public we serve. Four records clerks and a supervisor staff the records section.

Obtaining Police Records

There are a couple of options when it comes to acquiring a copy of your incident or vehicle crash report.

Online

You may request a copy of your incident or vehicle crash report online.

In Person

The records room is open for the public to receive reports on accidents and incidents reported to the Police Department between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. We accept cash and check payments only. You must present a valid government-issued photo ID for verification.

Reports available

Police:

  • Incident/Offense Report: $2.00
  • Crash Report (1st party): $10.00
  • Crash Report (3rd party/insurance): $25.00
  • Certified Reports (additional): $1.00

Fire:

  • Owners/Tenants with no insurance: $2.00
  • Owners/Tenants with insurance: $5.00
  • Insurance Companies: $5.00
  • Third Party: $5.00
  • Investigators: $5.00
