Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT) – State of Alabama Program – Provides quality workforce development for Alabama’s new and existing businesses, and expands the opportunities of its citizens through the jobs these businesses create. AIDT is an institute of the State’s Department of Post-secondary Education, and encourages economic development through job-specific training.
Alabama Technology Network (ATN) – State of Alabama Program – The Alabama Technology Network’s assistance centers help manufacturers in Alabama improve their global competitiveness. ATN is a part of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), a program of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). As a partner, ATN has access to a wealth of tools, products, services, and technical support.

Their Workforce Development Division constantly seeks new and innovative ways to meet the learning needs of the community.

Southern Union Community College – Opelika, Alabama – Southern Union offers technical training and college preparatory classes. Technical degree programs are offered in welding, electronics, and CAD/CAM systems. Southern Union also has an Industry Training Center available to help meet the needs of local industry. Their training covers the spectrum from the careful production of basic machine weights to operation of their multi-million-dollar Allen-Bradley PLC Servo unit, which provides programmable logic control and intelligent motion control for several manufacturing devices at once.
