Mayor Eddie Lowe, members of the Phenix City Council, and the Mayor’s Ball Committee members are pleased to announce the recipients of the Sixth Annual Mayor’s Ball for Education and Charity.
A reception will be held at 6 p.m., Eastern Time, Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the Martin-Idle Hour Park Community Center, Max Wilkes Fellowship Hall, 3743 Moon Lake Drive, Phenix City, Alabama.
The 2019 Mayor’s Ball was the sixth ball for Mayor Eddie Lowe and the Mayor’s Ball Committee Members. The event hosted over 800 people, and raised in excess of $100,000. Each year, support from the community grows as more people attend the ball and provide donations.
Thirty-eight students will be receiving college scholarships from the proceeds of the 2019 Mayor’s Ball.
Including the 2019 recipients, the Mayor’s Ball for Education and Charity has provided 163 students will college scholarships. (Dual-Enrollment awards will be made in October 2019.)
