Notice of Election
Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, an election for the purpose of electing a Mayor at Large, Councilmember at Large, and Councilmembers for District One, District Two, and District Three to the City Council of the City of Phenix City, Alabama, will be held, and that all registered and qualified electors of the state, who reside within the corporate limits of Phenix City, Alabama, and have resided therein for 30 days or more immediately preceding the date of the election, and who are qualified to vote in the county precinct which embraces and covers that part of the corporate limits of said city in which the elector resides, will be authorized to participate in the election.
The City of Phenix City has been divided into three (3) districts containing as nearly equal number of people as possible, and the following polling boxes well be in said districts; District One shall consist of Box 1, District Two shall consist of Box 2, District Three shall consist of Box 3. Each voter in the election may cast one vote for a candidate for Mayor, one vote for Council-at-Large, and one vote for a candidate from the district in which he / she resides.
The polls will be open from 7 a.m. EDT to 7 p.m. EDT at:

If necessary, a runoff election will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.
Any qualified elector who will have resided within the municipality, or if the municipality is districted, within the district from which he or she seeks election, for a period of at least 90 days on election day may qualify to run for office by filing the appropriate forms and paying any appropriate fees, as otherwise provided by law, beginning July 7, 2020 through the close of business on July 21, 2020.
