Referendum Election

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Phenix City, Alabama, shall call an authorizing referendum election to be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018, regarding changing the Phenix City Board of Education from a board appointed by the City Council to a board elected by the residents of the city.
The question on the ballot shall read substantially as follows:
“Do you favor changing the Phenix City Board of Education from a board appointed by the City Council to a board elected by the residents of the city?”
“Yes (___) No (___)”
The polls will be opened from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. EDT at:
