On March 13, 2020, Governor Ivey declared the existence of a state public health emergency based on the appearance of the 2019 novel coronavirus known as COVID-19 in the State of Alabama. In the initial proclamation and supplemental proclamations, provisions were designed to assist in preventing the spread of COVID-19, which requires flexibility and adaptability of our Municipal Government to ensure the safety of our citizens and staff.
The City of Phenix City will hold Work Sessions and Council Meetings via the teleconference platform Zoom until such time as Governor Ivey lifts the state health emergency. The media and public are encouraged to watch online. Online viewing information will be made available for each meeting by visiting the website calendar and selecting the meeting date you wish to view.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of the community during this uncertain time, and we look forward to seeing you soon. Please visit the city’s COVID-19 section for the latest updates regarding the Office of the City Clerk, as well as other city departments and facilities.
Thank you.
