July 4th is a wonderful celebration for all Americans. COVID-19 spreads easily, and is still affecting Alabama communities. Based on the guidance issued by the Alabama Department of Public Health regarding safe Independence Day celebrations, for communities that have active cases of COVID-19, it is strongly recommended that July 4th community fireworks be cancelled.
Out of an abundance of caution, the City of Phenix City has made the decision to postpone our annual fireworks display until a later date. This decision has been made with the priority of keeping community members safe.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of the community during this uncertain time, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
