The city has stopped receiving plastic of any sort at the recycling centers. This is unfortunate, but it is due to the decision of the commercial recycling center used by the city to cease receiving plastic. We realize that recycling is voluntary and those who do so are environmentally conscientious and are to be commended. Hopefully this issue will be temporary, as the city is working diligently to find another source for recycling plastic.
