As pursuant to section 22-27-48 of the Code of Alabama 1975, S22-27-48, the Phenix City Council will conduct a public hearing to solicit public comment concerning the expansion of the city’s Construction and Demolition Landfill. The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, the 19th day of November, 2019, at the City of Phenix City Council Chambers, located in the Public Safety Building at 1111 Broad Street Phenix City, Alabama 36867.
The expansion will include approximately 76 acres of vacant land that is adjacent to the existing Construction and Demolition Landfill. The service area and daily debris volumes will remain the same as the existing C&D Landfill. Copies of the proposed location map and application to the City Council will be available for review during normal business hours between the dates of October 2, 2019, and November 19, 2019, in the City Clerk’s Office, 601 12th Street, as well as on the website (below).
