The City Council of the City of Phenix City has been informed by the Building Official that the following substandard structures were in need of demolition or removal, and the City of Phenix City has solicited sealed bids as required by law:
Resolution No. 2018-126: 1904 14th Avenue, Phenix City, Alabama
Resolution No. 2018-127: 1208 8th Avenue, Phenix City, Alabama
Resolution No. 2018-128: 1203 Knowles Road, Phenix City, Alabama
Resolution No. 2018-129: 2905 South Railroad Street, Phenix City, Alabama
Resolution No. 2018-130: 3 Trafford Trail, Phenix City, Alabama
The date for fixing of costs before the City Council shall be June 5, 2018, at 9 a.m., Eastern Time, in the Council Chambers. At such public hearing, any person interested in the properties, as well as the person last assessed for ad valorem taxes, should appear and give reason, if any, why the City Council should not establish a special assessment upon the property for the cost of the demolition or removal of the substandard structure which the owner of the property either failed or refused to do after it had become a public danger or health hazard.
