Notice is hereby given that the City of Phenix City wishes to update its Storm Water Management Program Plan (SWMPP) as required by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).

The proposed plan has been updated to address public education, illicit discharges, pre/post-construction water runoff, pollution prevention, and good housekeeping for the city.

A Public Hearing on the matter will be conducted during the regularly scheduled council meeting set for 9 a.m., Eastern Time, Tuesday, February 7, 2017, in the Council Chambers, located within the Public Safety Building, at 1111 Broad Street, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. Said hearing shall be open to the public. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.

A copy of the proposed Storm Water Management Program Plan (SWMPP) is available for public inspection in the Office of the City Clerk, located at 601 12th Street, Phenix City, Alabama 36867, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. Said proposed plan is also available for review on the City of Phenix City website’s Proposed Plans page.
