Notice is hereby given that the Phenix City Police Department has made application to the Bureau of Justice for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program FY 2023 Local Formula Solicitation for the proposed purpose to purchase equipment for the Russell County Sheriff’s Office.
The City of Phenix City does solicit input from the Public on the use of the funds. A PUBLIC HEARING on the matter will be conducted during the regularly scheduled council meeting set for 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time, on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the Public Safety Building, located at 1111 Broad Street, Phenix City, Alabama. Those wishing to comment on the matter may appear before council at the aforementioned time and place to be heard.
