Duties & Responsibilities of the E911 Communications Unit
The communications section is responsible for officer safety and receiving calls for service from the community. The communication section is staffed 24 hours a day with several full-time dispatchers and a supervisor. The communications section utilizes technical equipment to communicate by phone, radio, and computer concerning matters of police, fire, or other emergencies. The section is equipped with Enhanced 911 services and equipment to help serve the community with efficient and professional service.
